Fruit of the Spirit Day 8

A gentle answer turns away wrath,

but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 15:1

Oh boy, somedays it is so hard to bite my tongue! But so liberating all at the same time! No remorse comes when I learn the art of self-control and reply with a gentle tone and words. It has taken many moons to achieve nuances of this, and certainly still a work in progress. But asking the Holy Spirit to open and close my mouth for me at just the right times, has increased my success for freedom in this arena.🙏

Fruit of the Spirit Day 7

“They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Revelation 17:14

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.” Revelation 19:11

Fruit of the Spirit Day 5

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Fruit of the Spirit Day 4

Proverbs 19:11 “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.”

I’m going to tuck that verse in my pocket and take it with me…😉

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Blessings for increased wisdom, Tanya Phillips

Fruit of the Spirit Day 3

Jesus spoke these words in both these versus:

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

🎁

The times I experience the most peace are when I am spending alone time with Jesus; seeking Him, quietly listening, laying it all at His feet, soaking in and meditating on His words.

Peace and blessings, Tanya Phillips

Fruit of the Spirit Day 2

How does Jesus’ birth bring great joy to the world?

1 Peter 1:8-9 “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

Thank you Lord, for the great joy that our Savior’s birth brings!
