How can we break the constricting chains of anger?

First, stop talking about it and giving it life.

Next, when the thoughts come, turn them off by immediately turning them into a prayer for that person(s) and situation.

Then, confess your anger to God and ask Him for forgiveness for holding on to the anger.

Ask God to help you have willingness to let go and forgive.

Continue to pray for blessings for that person(s).

Repeat each day or moment as necessary.

Immerse yourself in scripture to help change your heart and thoughts.

James 1:19-20

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires me.

Colossians 3:13

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
