If we are going to be successful at blended family life, we need to equip ourselves with a strong daily dose of time with our Heavenly Father. Friends, let me ask you: Where are you with your daily walk with God? Are you taking time to be alone with Him and seek His will and guidance for your life? For your family? For your job?
They say you get out of something, what you put in to it. Have you felt distance from God lately? Who moved? Rest assured, it isn’t God who moved. He is always there for us, looking forward to our availability, happily anticipating our communion with him, whether it be through our words, prayers, songs of worship, or being in His Word.
Blended friends, making alone time with God a priority in your daily life, will enrich you with wonderful, sweet blessings in every area of your life. Our Heavenly Father is waiting to speak to you and show you the abundant rich life you can have by abiding in Him. He is ready to pour out His blessings on you and all areas of your life. He wants you to know and encounter in every area of your life, His fulfilling Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We simply need to ask. Take time today friends, to ask.
I am praying for you today that you are reminded of these truths from His Word:
James 4: 8 says “8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Hebrews 10:22 “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Prayer:
Heavenly father, how fortunate we are that you never move. We are loved by you every single day. What a beautiful truth that is – thank you Father. How wonderful it is to know this and that you get excited to hear from us and enjoy spending time with us. We are blessed with your assured promises like in James 4:8. Please forgive me if I haven’t given you my availability that you desire and that is so needed in my life. Please ignite my daily desire to abide in you, and may it flourish like wildflowers in an expansive meadow, with great love, anticipation and excitement, every single day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
